Support your athletes through fracture recovery.

When a fracture takes an athlete out of training or competition, every part of recovery counts. The Melmak LIPUS device offers a non-invasive way to support bone healing alongside the rehabilitation work you are already doing.

A trusted recovery partner for your team

Fracture Healing is a Canadian distributor of the Melmak LIPUS device, operated by Inline Medical Inc. Since 2004, we have worked with athletic therapists, trainers, and sports medicine staff across Canada to support athletes recovering from fractures.

Our team understands the pressure of return-to-play timelines. We move quickly, handle insurance coordination, and make sure your athletes get set up with the device without delay.

Why LIPUS therapy fits into athlete recovery

Fracture recovery in athletes comes with its own demands. Healing has to be solid enough to support a return to high-impact training, and any delay in healing can extend time away from sport.

LIPUS therapy may help by:

  • Supporting faster healing in fresh fractures, with studies suggesting up to 38% faster healing
  • Offering a non-invasive option for athletes who want to avoid surgery where possible
  • Fitting into a busy training schedule with a 20-minute daily treatment
  • Working alongside physiotherapy, athletic therapy, and conditioning programs
  • Being safe following joint fusion or osteotomy, with no known side effects

Fractures we can support

The Melmak device has been used to support healing across a wide range of fractures common in sport, including:

  • Scaphoid, hand, and wrist fractures
  • Humerus and radius fractures
  • Femur, tibia, and fibula fractures
  • Foot and ankle fractures
  • Clavicle fractures
  • Stress fractures and delayed-healing injuries

Exclusions: LIPUS therapy is not appropriate for fractures of the skull, jaw, vertebrae, or spine.

How your athletes use the device

The Melmak device is patient-administered. Treatment is 20 minutes once a day and can be done at home, in a hotel room on the road, or anywhere convenient. The device is small, portable, and operates at the press of a button.

Athletes do not need to attend appointments to use the device. Once it arrives, our team walks them through setup, and they can run their treatment around training and travel.

Pat Clayton, Certified Athletic Therapist with the Calgary Stampeders, has used Melmak with athletes for over 40 years.
